Costa Rica

Mike's parents, Laura and Clair, took all of the Nixon kids and their spouses to Costa Rica...no kids!

It was unreal. We stayed 2 Swiss family Robinson tree houses.  They were high up in the jungle. We saw monkey's all over the place. We could hear them come into the houses in the middle of the night.  We left Kate and Cole with my mom, who was also watching Adele. I think it was a little overwhelming. We owe her BIG time.

View from the house...gorgeous!

The first day we got there, it rained all day. It was the rainy season, so we were a little nervous that it was going to rain the whole time.  That didn't stop us Nixon's from getting out and exploring!

Luckily it was nice and we only had small afternoon shower.

I tried to get a picture to show how hard it is raining...this doesn't do it justice
The boys decided to take a dip in the water in the hurricane
Emily got to bring her cute boyfriend to Costa Rica...it was a Nixon first

The next day was nice and sunny. We went to Manuel Antonio National Park. Half of our group didn't make the  cut and got stuck outside the fence. We had to wait about 20 minutes until they let them in.

This is us waiting until they let them in.

The park was beautiful!! Lots of exotic animals on our hike to the beach

Every night we went to dinner to a great restaurant
We went to church and Jessie gave this little girl her phone and they became best friends
This was our little pool and view from our tree house

Monkeys would come into our house trying to get food

Amazing view

We tried surfing one day and it was a struggle

On the last day we went White Water Rafting in the jungles of Costa Rica.
I thought I knew what to expect, but it was a lot more intense and scary then I thought. Mike and Craig fell out of our raft we almost flipped our raft and the rapids were really big!

One day we went ziplining. It was so much FUN!

Baseball on the beach

What a great trip! I can't wait to do it again!!!!
